Alphington Bowls Club is a growing local sporting organisation with strong community links and a diverse membership. We have a long and proud history dating back to 1921 as an integral part of the Alphington community.
We currently field two teams in Bowls Victoria's Saturday pennant competition (Div 3 and 8) and one Tuesday pennant side (Div 3) - along with other mixed teams competing in Bowls Victoria night and winter pennant competitions. We can offer all bowlers from novice to experienced free tuition by our accredited coaches and are looking for new players to fill additional pennant sides.
Alphington Bowls Club is considered the hub of the Alphington community. A great example of this is our Friday night twilight barefoot bowls and BBQ nights. The facilities at ABC are used on a daily basis by members and visitors for practice, club competitions and corporate events. Our rooms are also shared with the Alphington Community Centre and Fairfield/Alphington Angling Club.
ABC has now achieved level 3 Good Sports accreditation and proactively practices responsible service of alcohol. Our facilities are available for hire, so if you're planning a function please contact us at alphingtonbc@hotmail.com.
